Mark Sklar
Mark, a former Toronto Distress Centre Crisis Line responder, joined the Board of Toronto Distress Centres in 2015, became Board Chair and President in 2018. Mark has a B. Comm degree from University of Toronto, an MBA from Richard Ivey school of business and has held Senior and Executive leadership positions with a number of market leading companies both in Canada and the US. Mark also does not for profit work with both MAS (Management Advisory Services) and Catalyste+.

Sarah McGuire
Sarah McGuire is a Managing Director at TD Securities in Data Delivery and Integration and has oversight of the Global Fixed Income business. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from Carleton University, has a Masters in Project Management from George Washington University and has taken the Board Dynamics for Executives course at ICD. She is actively involved in expanding the awareness of DCGT, aiming to grow its brand and create a positive impact within our diverse community.

Based in Toronto, Lisa runs BGO Advisory, providing strategic advisory and operating support to small and mid-sized businesses. She holds the ICD.D designation, Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts from Western University. A strong advocate for destigmatizing mental health, Lisa is proud to be aligned with DCGT, providing a suite of relevant services to those in need.

Matthew Collis
Matthew Collis is a strategic communications leader and Lead, Content Strategy and Delivery at Toronto Public Library. He advises senior executives and develops high-impact communications strategies that shape organizational narratives, engage diverse audiences, and support key priorities. Matthew holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Guelph, a graduate certificate in Public Relations from the University of Toronto, a graduate certificate in Brand Management from Seneca Polytechnic, and a Mini MBA from the University of Buffalo School of Management. Matthew brings a strong commitment to social impact, applying his expertise to support organizations making a meaningful difference in their communities.

Avi Cole
Avi is a Partner at Evangelista, Barristers and Solicitors practicing as both a civil litigator and mediator. Avi obtained his law degree from Dalhousie University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western, Ontario. Avi has been on the Board of Directors of DCGT since January 2020. Avi has found it incredibly rewarding using his legal background to contribute to the organization, including as Chair of the Governance Committee.

Cadillac Fairview, one of the largest owners, operators and developers of best-in-class office, retail, multi-family, industrial and mixed-use properties in Canada. Corinne oversees a large national team responsible for legal services across the company, including corporate governance, investments, leasing, development, insurance and property operations. Prior to joining Cadillac Fairview, Corinne was the Chief Legal Officer at Great Gulf, an owner and developer of residential and commercial real estate in Canada and the U.S., and before that, the General Counsel at CAPREIT, a publicly-listed REIT, where she had legal and governance leadership responsibility for Canadian operations and, through CAPREIT’s sponsored Dutch and Irish-based REITs, European operations.
Prior to CAPREIT, Corinne was a Partner in the real estate group at Stikeman Elliott LLP, which she joined after practicing at major law firms in New York for 7 years. Corinne is a strong advocate for the advancement of women, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Women General Counsel Canada and a member of the Board and Audit Committee of the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto.

Farah is a Managing Principal at Rainmakers, where she leads complex organizational change, drawing on deep expertise in transformation, innovation, and operational agility. She holds an MBA from Queen’s University, has completed executive studies at Oxford University, and is certified in project management (PMP) and organizational agility (SAFe). Farah has served as a one-on-one mentor with Rise, supporting individuals pursuing economic empowerment following mental health and addiction challenges. Having witnessed the transformative impact of timely support, she is motivated to apply her experience to help scale DCGT’s mission and impact.
